“Nothing could be worse than the fear that one had given up too
soon, and left one unexpended effort that might have saved the world”
She was a Pioneer of social work, who she
impulse social work as a measure of development and she won Nobel Peace Prize
in 1931 for her work in the social inclusion
She was a feminist, lesbian and worked
with case of migration. The page web “ABC historia” say that she “saved” to
United States of the migration because she help with the move “Settlement”
The "Settlement" was controlled
by the church or college, that received migrant and they gives education,
recreation, and social services to the community.
She founded the Hull House that is a place for women
to receive medical care, child care, and legal aid; this is more completely
than the Settlement, in this place forbid the child's work, they works for
rights of women's and the education was obligatory, give more labor rights and
the community applied sanitary reforms
I like his job because was very important for
inclusion of migrants and in my country, Chile, maybe we can do something
similar and gives tools for the migrants in the world.
